Matt's career with cooking spans from an early age where he always had an interest in becoming a chef.

The first few years of his career saw him at The Montagu Arms as a pastry chef, as well as working for Marco Pierre White at The Yew Tree in Highclere, where he developed skills that would prove useful down the line. 

He moved back to The Montagu Arms when it had a Michelin star, under chef Matthew Tomkinson and he worked his way up to Junior Sous Chef before taking a position at a 2-star restaurant in Brussels.

More recently he has worked as Head Chef at the Driftwood Hotel in Cornwall where he acheived a Michelin star. His determination to work for a 3-star restaurant paid off as he was then offered a job at Eleven Madison Park in New York.

After wanting to move back to the UK, he landed himself Head Chef at the Montegu Arms before taking up Group Exectutive Head Chef position for Ideal Collection who owns Kimbridge Barn, The Boat House Chichester Marina, The Bugle in Hamble, The White Horse at Otterbourne and the newly rennovated Boat House in Swanwick.

We're very excited for him to be joining us at The Cricketers Inn in the Pavilion barn on 15th  November.
